WHAT FRAMES CAN I USE?

Underground Whoop League (UWL) requires pilots to use a frame from the approved list. This helps keeps the competition level while also giving pilots freedom to build their drones in the way they prefer. Check the list below for approved frames. If there are any more frames you think should be added, feel free to reach out and recommend it for the list! Keep in mind that any approved frame must have a 75mm wheelbase with ducts to fit 40mm propellers.

  • BetaFPV Meteor75 (Note: The Pro frame is not allowed)

  • NewBeeDrone Cockroach 75

  • Happymodel Mobula 7 V2, V3, V4

  • Fractal Engineering Fractal 75 (with fully enclosed and intact ducts)

ADDITIONAL RULES

Frames must be left largely unmodified. Frame shaving and clipping is largely banned, especially as it relates to the ducts. There are some instances where frame clipping or small modifications ARE allowed. Some of those instances include clipping ducts from any legal frame to use on your carbon fiber Fractal 75, modding your battery tray to better fit your batteries, or clipping the little tabs off of the back of the Meteor 75. This rule exists primarily to stop instances of the meta from devolving into excessive frame modifications that enhance performance, especially at the expense of durability or safety. One example of this might be to shave the ducts so thin that the drone is essentially "open prop." This isn't the kind of thing we want to encourage, and that's why this rule exists. If your frame modification isn't for weight savings (beyond clipping the little tabs on the back of the Meteor75) and it isn't for performance gains, it is probably okay.
